The Three Stripes is expanding upon their lifestyle category with this all-new light grey and blue colorway of the adidas temper run trainers. Having recently been delivered in a more luxe rendition as an SNS exclusive, they’re bringing things down a notch here by equipping the lifestyle runner with tones and accents more simplistic to the eye. Sporting a retro shape and aesthetic that stays on brand with today’s “dad” street style, the low-top silhouette is constructed with abstract overlays of mesh and suede informed with hues of light grey, mocha brown, and sky blue throughout its upper.
Though clad in the Superstar’s iconic “Footwear White” and “Core Black” arrangement, the low-top
adidas rivalry low dames keeps several of its signature details intact. Reinforced toe tips and heel cups are constructed with smooth leather, though the former’s features a yellowed, shell-toe-like shape. Branding across the midfoot, tongue and rear forgo any of its 1980s flair in exchange for the most blatant nod to this pair’s 50-year-old muse. Midsoles and outsoles, though also given some vintage treatment, harken back to the Rivalry’s basketball heritage, as they keep their tried-and-tested tooling and pivot points, respectively.
